can caring hurt?... is it just perspective?... what then when caring for impossible objectives?... for children starving in a world where garbage fills the streets... for children dying during wars they had no hand in causing... for people used and then discarded so rich men can pad their seats... dare we care enough to ask, is it time for a pausing?... a pause to reflect on the state of humanity - where is humanity?... oh say can you see humanity's humanity?...

caring till it hurts, when common sense says stop - when it will hurt the bottom line, and put you out of work - are you a jerk - caring till it hurts?...

caring till it hurts, when all look the other way - when you will be attacked for point out the dirt - what is it worth? - caring till it hurts...

when you are black balled for trying to do good - do you wonder if you should - still do good?... when you are ostracized for trying to speak truth - do you wonder risk dying - to speak truth?... when you are undermined and challenged for your every imperfection and placed under a microscope for your every objection and ridiculed and condemned as a fool or even evil, will you relent, will you repent, to prevent your upheaval?...

how far will you go to prove you care?... is that the same as asking - how much you do care?... how much do you care?... and when it hurts - how much do you care?...
